The next morning went the same as all the others, at least that was until Ralph made an astonishing discovery. there was a ship on the horizon. He immediately whipped around to tell the hunters to put green wood on the fire but there was no smoke on the mountain. Not a lick. we all ran up the side with piggy following sluggishly behind half way up the mountain Ralph stopped and turned to me, if the fire was out we would need piggies specks to light it. Ralph was frozen with indecision. should he wait and risk missing the ship o should he go to the top and hope the fire is still going. He chose the later. when we got to the top, to all our horror the fire was out. and all we could do was watch the ship sail away as piggy helplessly floundered up the rock. when he got to the top we saw that the hunters were all surrounding a part of the forest and chanting something. Sam and Eric were caring a pig on a stake. when Ralph and Jack saw each other they engaged an even more intense fight than before. I wished I could be off in my secret place there was no way I could get away. The fight got so intense that jack punched piggy in the stomach and and broke his specs. Only one of the lenses remained en-tacked. After the fire had been restarted jack began to divvy up the pig. All but piggy were happily eating. I threw piece over to him so he could eat to. Jack then became furrious and threw me a massive piece of meat. and demanded that I eat it. he reminded me of father back home. And home was the last thing I wanted to think about.

Smoke on the horizon
Two days! two full days Ralph and I have been working our fingers to the bone trying to build huts for everyone else. All but a few of our attempts have either failed miserably or were liable to collapse at any moment. The errant littleuns had long since ran off to play or eat. And then out of the fronds comes jack. His hunting togs which consisted of the remnants of shorts and not much else. "Were have you been!?"shouted Ralph impatiently."I, was hunting. We need meat." responded Jack. "We need, shelter." replied Ralph with a hint of recrimination. The two then proceeded get into a shouting match with Ralph saying we need shelter, and Jack yelling almost inscrutably about nothing but MEAT MEAT MEAT. I finally decided that I was needed more elsewhere. So I walked over to some of the littleuns who were trying desperately to reach the ripe fruit that lay high up just beyond their reach. I thought that it would be a good idea to help them get some food so that when they decided to help they would have ample energy. I then noticed that Ralph and Jack were both staring right at me. I went on feeding the littleuns until their fight resumed. With both parties distracted I crept of into the jungle to a place only I knew. It was small secluded and hidden. I was surrounded by leaves, not even the pigs could find me. I also had a complete view of the island through a small window I had. It was also rather warm. I decided that this was as good a place as any and fell asleep.

I like how you covered everything that happened in the two chapters. They almost flowed continuously, or as continuously as it could. I also think that it was exactly from Simon's point of view. I could tell it was without seeing the title.
