The Beast and The Assembly

Its nothing but Assemblies with Ralph, It is the only real power he has as Chief. I'm a hunter I control the food I have the real power. Its not like he is going to talk about anything we haven't heard before. No sooner than this cross my mind and all the boys almost instantly Run down the mountain to the sound of the conch. I lagged back and took my time when I got there I sat down with my hunters at my side. I hardly paid attention to half of what he said. All it was, was another thing and another thing, it was driving me mad. I finally decided to speak up but then I heard something about the beast or leviathan and that it comes out of the water. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to make the littleuns like me more and I would need their support if my plan to over throw ralph was to succeed. I stood up strait and tall and proudly announced "I've been all over this Island and there aint no beast. And even if there was the hunters and I would kill it on site." I the sat down triumphantly when one of my hunters started to lead the boys in some kind of capering that I would not be left out of. I quickly asumed control and and the ebullience of the small ones joined in. I was so rapt in the moment, Ralph's voice was only a susurration in the impalpable Darkness.
