the beast and the rebellion
I can't believe all of the nerve of Jack Meridew. He is the most most childish and spoiled boys I have ever met. When the beast search party came down from the mountain they all looked as if they were being chased by some sort of terrible creature. I was astonished to learn that they were. They all claimed that there was a beast and it was on top of the mountain. my beater judgment said that they all were imagining it, but if they all saw the same thing its hard to argue with that kind of proof. Then For the 100,000 time while we had been on the island jack ad Ralph get into an argument. I was so annoyed with this I didn't pay attention. Ralph decides to call a meeting. I was glad because there was a lot of items I would like to bring up. Unfortunately I never got a chance between Ralph's endless rambling and Jacks childish fits. he eventually left the tribe in a hissy fit. Ralph and I both were sure that Jack would come back in the morning, the big baby. Ralph seemed glum about the fire and I thought of something so brilliantly simple I don't know why I hadn't thought of it sooner! "We'll just have the fire on the beach instead of the mountain". This thrilled Ralph. with the meeting over we all went to bed and awoke the next morning to the sound of a sow struggling for her life. I was sure it was Jack especially when I found that all of the hunters and a few littleuns were gone. This put me in a bad mood for the whole day. As if this wasn't bad enough Jack renegade "tribe" came and stole our fire. This was all in all a crummy day. I thought about telling Simon my sorrows but he was nowhere to be found
